5 perfect cocktails to enjoy by the edge of a Bestway pool

The days are getting longer, the temperature is rising, and pools become that idyllic space we don’t want to leave. It’s our favorite place to escape the heat and refresh ourselves while perhaps enjoying a cold cocktail with friends.

Nowadays, there are many types of pools, but undoubtedly, the trendiest ones are the Bestway above-ground pools, both rectangular and round.

Bestway above-ground pools. Live a summer that truly feels like summer.

If you have a garden, patio, terrace, or porch, this summer you’re guaranteed to have your “pool time.”

Having an inflatable pool in the summer is always a good solution because you can have it ready to inaugurate the season in no time.

You just need to place it on a well-leveled ground, and voilà! In 20 minutes, you’ll have the Bestway® Steel Pro MAX™ model set up, and it will take even less time for the Bestway® Fast Set™ inflatable pool because it features the Fill & Rise Pool™ system. And simply inflate the top ring, and it will rise on its own as it fills with water. Easy, right?

Choose a spot in your house that receives the most hours of sunlight and is sheltered from the wind.

You’ll need an electrical outlet to plug in the filtration system and a water source to fill it up. Connect it to the garden hose, for example.

They also come with the ChemConnect™ dispenser to keep your pool water clean and healthy by providing a stable level of chlorine evenly distributed.

And when the season is over, you can empty it, dismantle it, and store it away. It’s that easy, quick, and convenient.

So, here are the recipes for these 5 irresistible summer cocktails.

Let’s get started!

NEGRONI

Created in 1919 in Florence, precisely at Café Casoni, a meeting place for the Florentine aristocracy.

1 part Gin.

1 part Sweet Vermouth.

1 part Campari.

Ice.

In a wide-mouthed glass, add ice and pour the three spirits in equal parts. Gently mix with a long cocktail spoon, and to finish, add an orange slice and a sprig of thyme or rosemary.

MANHATTAN

Born in 1874 at a party organized by Jenny Jerome, Winston Churchill’s mother, at the famous Manhattan Club in New York.

80ml Whiskey.

80ml Sweet Vermouth.

2 drops Angostura.

Candied cherry.

Ice.

Place ice in the serving glass and swirl it to chill.

Pour the ingredients into a shaker with 4 ice cubes and gently mix with a cocktail spoon for 15 seconds. Strain the ice from the shaker. Serve in Martini glasses and add a cherry.

COSMOPOLITAN

Conceived in 1985 by Cheryl Cook, a bartender at the Strand Restaurant in South Beach, Florida.

45ml Citrus Vodka.

30ml Cointreau.

15ml freshly squeezed lime juice.

7.5ml cranberry juice.

A slice of lime.

Fill a shaker with ice, pour in the spirits and lime and cranberry juices. Shake it. Serve it in a pre-chilled Martini glass and strain. Add the orange peel, twist it before including it in the drink.

DRY MARTINI

Created in 1910 by Mr. Martini, a bartender at the Knickerbocker Club in New York.

2 parts Gin.

1 part Dry Vermouth.

1 olive.

1 strip of lemon peel, avoiding the white part.

Ice.

As James Bond said: shaken, not stirred. Let’s prepare it.

Add ice, pour in the dry Gin, and then add the Vermouth carefully, so they don’t mix yet. Add the famous olive, and now, shake the mixture for 15 seconds. Twist the lemon peel over the glass… And you’re done!

MARGARITA

This drink saw the light in 1936 at the Garci Crispo Hotel Bar in Puebla, Mexico. Dany Negrete created it as a wedding gift for his brother and future sister-in-law named Margarita.

60ml Blanco or Reposado Tequila.

40ml de Cointreau.

40ml freshly squeezed lime juice.

1 small piece of lime.

Salt.

Ice.

Serve it in a chilled wide-mouthed glass. Rub the lime along the rim of the glass and place it upside down on a plate filled with salt to create that characteristic salty rim in this drink.

Pour the spirits and lime juice into the shaker, add 5 ice cubes, shake the mixture for 15 seconds. Serve it strained.
